New years is on its way and that is really exciting. New years are always a good time. Every new years since I was a very young girl my parents have a party. It can be stressful because my parents always want the house spotless before we get company and my mother has to cook all the food. Around 7 o clock people begin to arrive at my house. My parents have their friends over and I have my friends over. It is a great get together. When people arrive the parents go out in the garage and have a washers tournament in the garage while the kids are inside either playing a game or watching movies. Around 11:30 pm the parents begin to file into the house and get ready for the ball drop. The parents get champagne and the kids get sparkling grape juice and we all stand in my living room waiting for it to be time for the ball drop. We all count drown from ten and when it has finally drops the younger kids pop poppers and blow horns and everyone goes around hugging each other. Which I don’t really understand why we are hugging each other but I guess it is because they congratulating on them for making it another year in this world. I probably won’t be at my house this new years though but maybe I will. Hopefully not though because I’d rather go to other people’s party but my parents will still have a party no matter what. My mom loves having New years party, I don’t know why but she really does. She says it is nice to be able to be at home when bringing in the new year. I love New Years it is such a fun holiday. I can not wait for it!
