choice

I am so happy that we get to do a choice blog for this week. I think that I am going to write about my college search. I began my search for a college at the end of summer. I used to not like thinking about college because it was stressful because I still don’t even know what I want to do for a career. My first step was to figure out what i am the most interested in. I decided that going into the medical field was the best thing for me considering I enjoy chemistry and biology. After deciding that I went on to the most dreadful part of this process, The SATs and ACTs. These tests were extremely hard for me and I would always get so worked up about them. I would also begin to search for colleges on collegeboard.com which is an extremely useful site and I learned a lot from it.  I narrowed my college selection down to seven schools in which I began to apply to. The seven colleges that I applied to are, Le Moyne, Stonehill, Mercyhurst, Niagara University, RIT, Daemen and Slippery Rock University. I visited the ones that are near here and planned on visiting the ones farther away after I know for sure if I am accepted. I have only received five acceptance letters so far and I am still waiting on two others. I am now beginning to go on the tours that are farther away. Monday I am actually going to visit both Slippery Rock and Mercyhurst. Some of the things that are important to me when choosing a college include, the cost, environment, nice dorm rooms, majors, and the size of the college. Doing all of this preparation gets me excited for college. I am ready to begin this next chapter of my life.
