Ryan

What does Ryan Pinkowski do on his free time? I know exactly what he does! When Ryan Pinkowski is not at school or working on his homework he is rapping downtown. Ryan drops beats every day after school with his fellow homies. He meets them a restaurant on the West side of Buffalo and just rap their hearts out. He raps are usually about his dog Charlie who is his best friend. He always wears baggy pants, a white tank top that is very long and a huge gold chain. He always never walks out of the house without his bling in his ears. Most people around that area know exactly who Ryan is and actually stops him on the streets to ask him to hit them with a beat. Being the nice guy that Ryan is, he is always willing to put on a nice little show for the locals and also sign some autographs. Ryan just keeps this on the down low here at Alden because he still wants everyone to treat him like an average teenager and actually live a normal life of a teenager. He doesn’t want people to constantly ask him to rap for them, he only enjoys to do it occasionally. Most wonder where he writes these amazing raps that become music to the Buffalo people’s ears. Whenever he is at his home in Alden he just looks at Charlie and words just fly out of his mouth and he then writes them down. He will sometimes even bring Charlie downtown so he can show everyone his inspiration. He only does is once in a while though because there are so many other dogs outside downtown and he doesn’t want Charlie to run away. Yes, I know it is very hard to believe that the Ryan Pinkowski that is in our online publishing class is a true rapper but it is in fact true.

sister

There are many people in my life that I feel are very inspirational but I would have to say my sister is the one I look up to the most. My sister was always one I looked up to ever since I was a little girl. When I was little I always wanted to be just like my sister. I would try to dress like her and would get my haircut like her. I just wanted everything about us to be the same. We would always argue when we were young but that’s what siblings do. Now I would have to call my sister my best friend. I can go to her for everything and if I need advice on anything I know she will have some for me. She is so fun to hang out with. My sister has a lot of good qualities that I always envied. She is very caring and puts others before herself which I think is amazing. She volunteers her hours to community service. She also has a great work ethic. She always puts all her effort into whatever she is doing. She always got good grades in school and I always was determined to get as good as grades as her or even better. She influenced me to try my best at school and put in long hours of studying because it will pull off. She is now currently in her fifth year of college where is she is going for a Physician Assistant. Seeing her go through it and hearing her experience she inspired me to want to go for that profession. She also has a great sense of humor. Whenever we are together we are always smiling and laughing. I don’t think I will ever stop looking up to her. I really think by looking up to her made me the type of person I am today.

Bee Sting

When I was just a little girl I was at the park because my mother coached cheerleading for my sister’s team. I went to the playground with a babysitter while my mom was coaching the girls. I was having a good old time swinging on the swings and going down the slide. The one time I went down the slide I felt a sting right above my eye around my eyebrow. I my eyes automatically filled up with tears and I started to scream because it hurt real badly. My babysitter picked me up and ran me to the pavilion where my mom was and told her what had happened. My mother than took me to the AJF shed to get some Benadryl. After that she took me to the pavilion and I was sitting on the picnic table with everyone crowded around me. I began to itch my leg and a started to swell up. My mother immediately freaked out and decided that we needed to go to the doctors. Mrs. Wimmer told my mom that she would drive my mother and I to the doctors. When we got to the doctors he said “She is definitely allergic and you better get to the hospital quick.” My mother was frantic she couldn’t believe he wouldn’t call an ambulance for me. Mrs. Wimmer then drove us back to my house real quick and my mom called my dad telling him that he must call an ambulance immediately. When we arrived at my house an ambulance arrived in a matter of seconds. At this point my face was so blown up that I couldn’t even see out of my eyes because they were swollen shut and my throat was beginning to close up. They started working on me right in my front lawn. Hooking me up to oxygen, putting in IVs and gave me an epi-pen to stop the allergic reaction. My mother rode with me in the ambulance and I couldn’t crying because I was so scared because I didn’t know what was going on because I still couldn’t see. When we arrived to the hospital the swelling went down and they started to do tests on me. I was waiting for everything to be done with my parents and grandparents. When I was sitting on the hospital bed I began to itch my leg again. My mom recognized the fact that, that is what I did right before I swelled up last time and told my grandmother. Within seconds after telling my grandmother I started to blow up again and the nurses came rushing In. They then gave me more medicine to stop it. After everything was set I was prescribed an epi-pen which I have to carry with me at all times just in case I get stung. Later my mom explained the story to be of how when she looked at me all she seen was three little wholes which were my nostrils and my mouth. She also tells me how I was so close to not making it and that it is a miracle that I am still here today. I hate it when she talks about it and tells me the story because It scares me. I never want that to happen to me again.

Nate Bailey

If you ask me, Nate Bailey is for sure the BOSS. By definition a boss is a person who exercises control over workers. Nate Bailey definitely has control of the school. When walking the halls he acts like he owns the place, which he probably could because he is full of money. Everyone knows his name and what he is all about. He doesn’t let anything or anyone get in his way and he makes sure it is clear to everyone that he is good at what he does and no one will ever be better. Nate also is always looking good when coming to school in his stylish clothing that extenuates his large muscles and the ice in his ears. Nate is not just the boss at school he is also the boss on the sports fields and courts. He puts his amazing skills to work and shows everyone up. Scoring touchdowns is a daily routine for this kid. Nate is also very slick with the ladies. All the girls love his big muscles and his confident attitude. People say that he is too cocky, but personally I think he has a reason to talk highly of himself. Nate really does have all the qualities that make up a boss so I don’t know how anyone could possibly disagree with the statement “Nate is BOSS.” Most people who say he is not the boss are really wishing they had his talent, and confident attitude. Soon they will realize that they will never be able to live up to him and finally say that Nate is boss.

Just a few weekends ago I had plans to go to a haunted house with some friends. Because of the fight and fright world we had to go to House of Horrors which we thought was located in Cheektowaga. We got all the way to where we thought it was located and it wasn’t even there anymore which was a pretty big upset because we all wanted to go to a haunted house. We decided that we would go to Tim Hortons get some snacks and then decide what we wanted to do instead. So as we were eating some doughnuts someone pitched the idea of going to the movies to see a scary movie. We all agreed that was a good idea because watching scary movies is another fun Halloween activity. We decided to go see the movie “Let Me In.” The movie was about this family that was Vampires. They would go out and get into the back of peoples’ cars and would kill them as they were driving. After they would get all the blood out so they could bring it home to eat. Sometimes the little girl would just attack people because she needed blood so bad. The little girl ends up becoming really close with her neighbor and they begin to like each other. The boy was unaware that she was a vampire until he poked himself with a needle and she went crazy over the blood. Because she liked him so much she controlled herself and didn’t eat him. The family ends up moving because they realiz4e that the police are linking them to all the killings that occurred in the town. I was so scared the whole movie. I was sitting next to Holly and we were jumping out of the state of fear constantly. Now every time I get into my car I make sure that there is no one in my back seat.

There once was a boy named Nate Bailey, who lived in a small town, Alden, New York. Nate and his two friends, Chris and Mitch, decided to go out one night and be daredevils. They wanted to do the scariest thing they could because they we craving an adrenaline rush. They decided they were going to go to a man’s house who was known to be a serial killer to check him out and see if he was really killing and eating people. Nate decided that he would walk to the window first and the others would follow. As they were walking up to the window of the man’s house they noticed him eating a person whom he killed. Even though they were disgusted, they continued to approach the window. Just as they reached to window Nate stepped on a stick breaking it which made a loud noise. The boys ducked behind a bush right away and then they heard the man come out of the house screaming “Get out of here or you will be my next meal!” Nate and his friends were so scared their hearts were pumping so fast and they just froze. They didn’t know what to do. They then decided that they better leave because they knew that the man knew they were there. Nate lead the pack once again and they started to walk back to their car that was parked a block away. As they were leaving the man seen them and ran after them with a knife. Nate ran so fast ahead of his friends just leaving them in the dust. Mitch wasn’t to in shape so the killer caught him right away. Chris tripped on a log so he went down next. The man decided that the two would be enough food to last him at least 2 weeks so he didn’t bother running after Nate. Nate ended up getting to the car and driving away as fast as he could. Nate told the police what happened to his two friends and the police then went to the man’s house and arrested him.

I really love music. My favorite type of music is country. I just love how each song has some sort of story. I have a few favorite country singers but my absolute favorite would have to be Brad Paisley. Brad Paisley is a wonderful artist. His songs are usually comical but he does have so serious songs. He is also extremely good at the guitar which is understandable considering he got his first guitar at age eight. Brad has had a ton of hits. Some of his hits were “Celebrity”,” We Danced”, “Mud on the Tires”, “Letter To Me”, “American Saturday Night”, and “Water.” Those were just a few of his hits, he has a ton more. Brad Paisley songs are so catchy and fun to sing and dance to. He comes to Darian Lake just about every summer and I make sure I am there every time. He really puts on a good show. He has a good way with getting the crowd involved and everyone up on their feet dancing. My favorite song of his is “ Letter To Me.” I really like this song because I can relate to it sort of because he talks about his high school days and I am currently in that stage of my life now. Brad is married to Kimberly Williams and has two sons named William Huckleberry Paisley and Jasper Warren Paisley. If you haven’t really listened to Brad Paisley’s music, I would really advise you too because they are so good.

class

I have had a lot of classes that I really enjoyed. My favorite would definitely have to be Studio and Art I took Studio and Art my freshman year. . I was originally in Intro to business but I dropped that so I could go into Studio and Art. I don’t really like art but I did it so I could go to New York City with the other art students. I didn’t expect it to be as fun as it was. I was in the class with Holly Groth, Kelly Truppo and Nicolette Gaeta. We did a lot of talking in that class; we would always have conversations going on while we did our artwork. My favorite thing about the class was the two seniors that were in there, Josh Sklener and Ryan Wawrzyniec. They were so funny, and I miss them very much. They would always crack jokes which made the class so much more enjoyable. I also really liked the class because it was a stress free class. I hate it when classes are stressful. Studio and Art never had any homework and there were no tests and quizzes which was a major plus. I basically like any class that doesn’t take too much work. Another fun part about this class was we were able to use our creativity in our artwork. The projects were actually fun and not boring. It was also easy to get a good grade in so it would bring up my average. I am so happy that I took that class and will never forget it.

favorite meal

Dinner time is my favorite time of the day. I love being able to sit down with my family. Dinner is the best when we order my favorite meal. My favorite meal would have to be chicken wings. I don’t know why but chicken wings taste so good to me. My family always orders them from the same place, Town Line Pizzeria. The wings there are just so delicious. I order them the same way every time, medium, extra crispy with medium sauce on the side. The thought of the crispy breading drenched in medium hot sauce makes my mouth water. I could basically eat chicken wings for every meal hot or cold. I don’t usually bite the meat right off of the bone. I usually tear off the meat and then dunk it in the blue cheese and then the hot sauce then it goes in my mouth. I think that’s the best way to eat time because u get that delicious taste in every bite. I make sure I have some Dr. Pepper to drink because with all that hot sauce it is nice to have a drink in between bites. The chicken wings also come with some celery which I also enjoy. It is so good to dip them in the blue cheese. This meal often gets messy so I make sure I always have a good supply of napkins near me while eating. Although it is my favorite food I don’t eat much of them when I get them because they fill me up real fast. Chicken Wings are by far my favorite meal, and if you have never tried the wings from Town Line Pizzeria I would definitely advise you too.

Hannah Montana The Movie

Another one of my favorite movies is Hannah Montana the Movie starring Miley Cyrus. Hannah is ruining her relationships at home. For example, she is late for her best friends sweet sixteen and she forgets to say goodbye to her brother when he went off to college. Hannah goes back to the place where she used to call home, Tennessee. When she arrives home she is no longer that rockstar that everyone loves she is back to being Miley. Miley Falls in love with a boy named Travis that was once a childhood friend. However, She keeps it a secret from Travis. In her hometown in Tennessee a developer wants to soil her beautiful hometown and place a shopping mall in town. In order to stop the developer the town has to raise enough money which seems impossible Travis asks Miley to ask Hannah Montana to put on a benfit concert. Miley says okay and “Hannah Montana” agrees to it. While singing at the concert she stops and realizes she should be lying to the town about who she is. She then took off the wig and revealed her top secret that she was really “Hannah Montana.” Also throughout the movie country stars made appearances such as Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. It was a reallly good movie and taught that it is important to be yourself.

Fever Pitch

One of my favorite movies would have to be Fever Pitch The main characters of this movie is Lindsey who is played by Drew Barrymore and Ben who is played by Jimmy Fallon. Ben is a major Red Sox fan who is looking for love. He meets a woman, Lindsey, who is very pretty and falls in love with her. Ben sort of lets Lindsey know that he is a big fan but she doesn’t think anything of it because she was currently competing for a job promotion and this was she does not have to worry about Ben being affected by her work. Everything is good all winter long. The two continue to fall deeper in love and are always together and having a good time. But when its baseball seasons things start to change. Lindsey finally realizes how crazy Ben is over the Red Sox and everything starts to go downhill. Lindsey is constantly feeling like she has to compete with the Red Sox team for Ben’s heart. She is definitely not to thrilled over how he is choosing the team over their relationship. Ben is faced with a very difficult decision when Lindsey makes him choose between their relationship and his childhood love of the Red Sox. I really liked this movie because I thought that it was extremely humorous and I also am a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

movies. Sisterhood of the traveling pants

I am not one who is big on watching movies. I don’t usually have time to watch movies because I am usually busy with things such as work and school work. But, I have watched some that I really enjoyed. One of my favorite movies was Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. The movie was inspired by the book by Ann Brashares. In the movie there were four girls that were best friends and always together through their childhood. The girls’ names are Tiby, Carmen, Bridget and Lena. The four girls were going their separate ways for the summer and they needed a way to stay connected with each other. Lena was going to Greece to visit her grandparents, Carmen went to her dad’s house in South Carolina, Bridget goes to a soccer camp in Baja California and Tiby just stays home in Bethesda, Maryland. The girls find a pair of jeans that magically fit all four of them when all the girls are different shapes and sizes. They decide that each will keep the pants for a little bit and then send them to one another with a letter on what they did when they had the pants. When Tiby has the pants she meets a young girl named Bailey who she becomes really close with and they make videos together. Bailey ends up dying at the end of the movie because she has leukemia. When Bridget has the pants she starts to gets to know the soccer camp coach named Eric and starts to fall in love with him. When Lena has the pants she falls in love with a boy name Kostas. Both the grandparents of Kostas and Lena did not get along with one another which made it difficult for them to be seeing each other. When Carmen has the pants she realizes that her father is now living a new life with a fiance who has two children herself. She thought her father was going to spend more time with her than he actually did which upset her. Once they get back home they all write their experience they had when wearing the pants and wrote them on the pants.

I have gotten the chance to sit down with a young girl with the name of Alyssa Eggert and have and exclusive Interview. Alyssa is just an average teen that attends school at Alden High School and has a part time job at Tim Hortons in Clarence, New York. I asked Alyssa a total of sex questions that she gave interesting answers too.

MD: What are some of your future plans?
AE: In want to go to ECC for two years and then transfer to D’Youville to major in Occupational Therapy.
MD: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
AE: When I am not at school or work I like to go shopping, hang out with my friends, play soccer and watch YouTube videos.
MD: You have just been informed you only have one month to live. What do you do?
AE: I would definitely have to go and tell my family and friends the news. After, I would want to go skydiving, travel the world, and spend all the money in my bank account. In would also spend as much time with my friends and family as I could.
MD: What is your best memory of high school?
AE: My favorite high school memory would have to be scoring 4 goals in one of my high school soccer games.
MD: What is your biggest fear?
AE: I fear burning in a car.
MD: If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?
AE: I would buy a house in Naples, Florida as well as a jet ski, four-wheeler and a snowmobile. I would also want to get season tickets to the Sabres game.
MD: Who is your hero and why?
AE: My parents are my heroes because they do so much for me and I love them.
MD: What are some of your biggest pet peeves?
AE: People just drive me crazy in general. I also hate when people chew with their mouth open and bite their fingernails.

Vacation

This summer I was quiet the traveler. I was lucky enough to go on two, one week vacations. One was with my family and the other was with Holly and her mother. Early in the morning on July 14, Holly, Mrs. Groth and I were jumping on a plane on our way to Santa Monica, California. We had a layover in Chicago and arrive at the LAX airport and we went down to baggage claim to get our bags and meet Holly’s aunt. When we got to the baggage claim my luggage was nowhere to be found. We were off to a rough start. They ended up finding it five hours later on a different flight. After that the fun began. We did so many fun exciting activities. We went to the beach a lot where we went boogie boarding which was hilarious. Disneyland was a must. We had to go, there is no place better than Disney. You just feel like a little kid all over again. We went to Hollywood and got our pictures taken with the stars and Los Angeles to go shopping. While shopping at the mall we saw one of the Backstreet Boys, A.j. McLean. After a week in California we flew home and the next day Holly and I were heading to Ocean City, Maryland with my family. Ocean City was more of a beach vacation. We went to the boardwalk about every night but there were some days where we just stayed at the campground. There was also a teen club that me and Holly hit up three of the seven nights. We met some nice friends there as well that we keep in touch with. It was definitely a summer to remember.
